Conference Objectives:
The conference will present the positions and perspectives on nanotechnologies at the workplace and in the environment adopted by European Trade Unions and Environmental NGOs. The options for European policies are discussed.
The priorities are set for the responsible development of nanotechnologies, especially regarding environmental and workplace safety. Views are exchanged with nanotechnologies' stakeholders and policymakers and pathways are established for implementing the precautionary approach. An nanoethics portfolio is presented.

The conferences is focussing especially on EU and Member State policy makers, Trade Unions, Environmental organisations, Consumer associations, Industry, Risk management specialists, Scientists and Journalists .
